Presidents Message

Can you believe it, summer is half over!! So far it has been great for me, hope the same for you both personally and professionally.

Now it is time to catch up with what is going on with Tri-State Business Women. As of June 1st we have a new board and since the beginning of the year we have several new members join us not to mention some great programs. If you have not been to a meeting recently you are missing a lot.

Partly because of the new members and partly because some members have not able to attend many meetings this year I thought it would be a good idea to start including a few member business bio’s in this and following issues. If you have already sent me your bio thank you and if not please do so. I would love to be able to include every member in a newsletter over the next several months.

Hello, my name is Norma and I am a new member of the Tri-State Business Women. I live in a cozy log home in Morganton, Georgia. I am very excited to meet all of you and to share our various business endeavors. My passion right now is with sharing a new way of communicating through the power of video. Peggy Gabrielson

I am a member artist of MRACG, BRMAA and SAAG in Georgia. I have joined a local woodcarving group instructed by a master resident artist Helen Gibson from the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC. We meet once a month for a three day workshop.　

I have painted in watercolor, acrylic, and oil. I love to draw with water soluble graphite pencil. Bead work, glass art fired in my kiln, taking my photographs and digitally altering them are just a few of my creative endeavors.　

My current energies have been focused on my online studio and going mobile with the business. Enabling me to connect with a larger customer base. I commit @ least 3 hrs. a day to marketing and networking of my business, believing that this is what makes a business successful.
I love sharing my knowledge and have taught a diverse range of age groups of my craft. I believe in the adage ‘passing it forward’. Traveling is one of my favorite past times, enjoying the diversity of the states and abroad has many fond memories for me with my husband beside me and our two Shih Tzu dogs.
